Quick setup

  1. Choose your clock mode.
Select the clock display that is easiest for you to read. The visual mode does not limit which alarm sound you can use.
  2. Create or edit an alarm.
Pick the hour and minute, then confirm AM or PM when using a 12-hour clock.
  3. Choose a sound.
Use a built-in alarm sound or select one of the custom options described below.
  4. Set snooze behavior.
Choose the snooze interval and any available wake-up challenge. Use a challenge only if it helps you wake without creating frustration.
  5. Preview the sound.
Test the alarm at the same device volume you expect to use overnight.
  6. Save the alarm and keep the tab open.
Leave your browser running, keep the device powered, and prevent the device from entering a mode that suspends browser activity.

Choose how the alarm should sound

Built-in sounds

Built-in tones are the simplest and most dependable option because they are available directly in the alarm experience. Preview more than one: a sound that is pleasant during the day may be too quiet when you are asleep.

Upload an audio file

Select a file from your device when you want a personal sound. Test the complete alarm after uploading. Moving or removing browser data can affect locally stored settings, so keep the original file available.

Record from your microphone

Use the recording option to create a spoken reminder or custom sound. Your browser will ask for microphone permission. Begin recording only when you are ready, then preview the result before assigning it to an alarm.

Use a media or streaming link

Streaming services often restrict automatic playback. AlarmClock.live may open a linked source while keeping a regular alarm tone available underneath. Treat the standard tone as the dependable wake-up layer.

Prepare browser permissions

  • Allow audio playback when your browser asks.
  • Allow notifications if you want a visible alert in addition to sound.
  • Allow microphone access only if you plan to record audio.
  • Check that the tab itself is not muted.
  • Make sure Do Not Disturb, Focus, or battery-saving settings will not suppress the experience you expect.
Browser permission names differ by device. Test an alarm scheduled one or two minutes ahead before relying on it overnight.

Before you go to sleep

  • Connect the device to power.
  • Set the system and browser volume high enough to hear from your sleeping position.
  • Leave AlarmClock.live open in a visible browser tab.
  • Do not shut down, restart, or close the browser.
  • Use a second alarm for travel, medication, work, safety, or other important commitments.

For device-specific problems, follow the reliability and troubleshooting checklist.
