Why we built it
Most alarm clocks make one assumption: everyone wants the same handful of sounds. AlarmClock.live starts somewhere else. A useful wake-up sound might be a clear bell, a familiar recording, a spoken reminder, a favorite audio file, or a dependable tone underneath a media link.
The goal is not simply to display a clock. It is to give each alarm a purpose, a recognizable sound, and enough control to fit different routines—from waking up to timing a focused work session.
What makes it useful
The site combines multiple clock styles with an alarm engine, customizable sounds, snooze controls, a stopwatch, world clocks, sleep sounds, and browser-based tools for uploaded or recorded audio. These features live together so you do not have to move between several single-purpose pages.
AlarmClock.live is designed to work without an account for its core functions. That makes it fast to try and reduces the amount of personal information needed to set a simple alarm.
Designed with local control in mind
Alarm settings and preferences are designed to be stored by your browser. Microphone access begins only when you choose to record, and file access begins only when you select an upload. Browser permissions remain under your control.
Some site services—such as hosting, analytics, security, and advertising—may process ordinary technical information. The details are explained in the Privacy Policy.
A browser alarm has limits
Browsers and operating systems can pause background tabs, mute audio, suspend sleeping devices, or restrict notifications. AlarmClock.live cannot override those controls. Important alarms should always have a second alarm on another device.
Our Alarm Reliability guide explains how to prepare your browser and device before depending on an alarm.
Editorial and review policy
Ed Vaquerano is responsible for AlarmClock.live and its product guides. The guides describe this site’s controls, practical setup examples, and the limits of browser timing. They are product documentation, not medical advice or a promise of better sleep or academic performance.
AI tools assist with drafting, coding, and technical checks. Technical explanations are checked against the implementation and linked primary documentation where relevant. Published dates identify when a guide first appeared; updated dates identify substantive revisions. A source citation does not mean that the source endorses AlarmClock.live.
Our checks cover page links, metadata, tool controls, and selected browser interactions. They do not certify every browser, operating system, or sleeping-device behavior. We explain limitations and avoid invented qualifications, testimonials, or claims of independent laboratory testing. Send a correction through the contact form, including the page address and the step that needs attention.
