How Easter's date is calculated
Western churches celebrate Easter on the first Sunday after the ecclesiastical full moon on or after March 21. That means Easter can fall anywhere from March 22 to April 25. Orthodox churches use the Julian calendar for the calculation, so their Easter is often one or more weeks later.
